Beverly was pure love and a joy. She had an optimistic outlook on life and a strong desire to care for all those around her. She had a wry sense of humor and a smile that was contagious. We will all miss her deeply but are comforted in knowing that she was always there for us and we were always there for her during her long and fruitful life.
Born Beverly Lipovsky in Brooklyn, New York on August 30, 1929. She lived with her husband Myron in Westbury, New York for over 40 years where her days were filled with raising her family of three boys, Joel, Lawrence and David. She spent over 25 years working at the Registrar’s office of New York Institute of Technology where she was beloved by the students and staff. While doing all this, she found time to volunteer for a number of needy causes. When they moved to Kings Point in Delray Beach, Florida in the 1990’s, she continued her volunteering service at We Care, a living assistance resource center for members of her community. In addition, Beverly was a long-standing and devoted member of the Deborah Hospital Foundation, Delray Chapter. This volunteer organization is dedicated to raising funds and awareness to support the life-saving cardiac and pulmonary care provided by the Deborah Heart and Lung Center. She also volunteered at Mended Hearts which is a support program for patients who have cardiovascular disease. In her later years, her days were spent reading, socializing, playing Canasta with friends, playing Rummikub with her dear friend Staci and, of course, showering love upon her six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She is deeply loved by all who knew her especially her family. She is survived by her three sons Joel, Lawrence and David, Joel’s wife, Jody, son Mark and partner Maddy, son Steven and wife Alessandra; Lawrence‘s daughter Ilyssa and her husband Kelly and their daughter Sloane; David’s wife Kathy and their children Sam, Lily and Miles. She is also survived by her sister Toby Sabith, and her nieces Leslie and Robin and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Myron, her brother Stanley, and daughter-in-law Iris.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation online at www.deborahfoundation.org/donate or mailed to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Rd., Brown’s Mills, NJ 08015.
