If you knew Beverly Weissman, you likely heard her say, “Eep, ipe, wanna piece of pie” -- a small, silly rhyme she loved and shared often, always with a twinkle in her eye. She passed away peacefully on April 2, 2026, leaving behind 97 years where she was known for her quick wit and strong opinions.
She is survived by her daughters, Gwenn Dorb Holland, Fran Dahl, Susan Langer (Ron) and Denise Thomas; her grandchildren, Rachael Holland, Matt Dahl (Jess), Max Holland (Corinne Kisner), Lindsey Nelson (Jared), Courtney Reider (Lucas), Aaron Thomas and Chris Cummings; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Dahl, Ryan Dahl and Troy Nelson -- all of whom will carry her memory forward with love and laughter.
● Beverly took pride in her decades-long career, which spanned across Benjamin Berman, Lakeland School District, IBM, Xerox and PepsiCo.
But nothing brought her more pride and joy than being known as “Great Gammy Bev.” Whenever she was with her great-grandchildren, her face would light up and she would stand just a little taller, soaking in every moment. Her grandkids will remember her fondly for playing the piano, bringing the game “Sorry!” wherever she went and her moment of fame on “Billy on the Streets”.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Leonard Dorb and Herbert Weissman, son-in law, Bill Thomas, and granddaughter, Lauren Dahl Cummings.
Special thanks to Cathy Broida, Sara Klein, Luis Gonzalez, Hope Sinclair and Rosaline.
Donations to Northwell Hospice, American Cancer Society, American Lung Association and Hadassah.
Graveside Services for Beverly will be held on Thursday April 9, 2026 10:30Am at the Sharon Gardens Cemetery 273 Lakeview Avenue Valhalla, NY 10595.
