On Christmas morning, December 25, 2025, Cecilia Lopez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born on April 29, 1944, in New York, NY, to Antonio and Mariana Suarez, Cecilia's life was defined by kindness, warmth, and her boundless generosity toward everyone she met.

Cecilia’s love for her family was immeasurable. She is survived by her devoted siblings: Mario Suarez, David Suarez, Judith Schaaf, and Anna Suarez. Her legacy is carried on by her loving children: Tracy; Terrence (Judy); William (Megan); and Michael (Chelsea). She was the proud grandmother of Mayra, Jeremy, Matthew, Michael, Mia, TJ, Dorian, Danica, and Tyler. Her family continued to grow, with twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Cecilia also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; each one held close to her heart.

Those who knew Cecilia remember her for her infectious joy and uplifting spirit. She was always the first to lend a helping hand, embodying compassion in every interaction. Friends and family alike have shared an outpouring of love and cherished memories, a true testament to the profound impact she had on everyone around her.

Cecilia was more than a relative—she was a friend, a mentor, a confidante, and a role model to many. Her unwavering dedication, tireless work ethic, and immense love for both her immediate and extended family shaped the lives of all who knew her.
