Elinor Deutsch

Elinor Kaplan Deutsch, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Manhattan on April 6, 2026. She was a loving wife to Jerome Deutsch, mother of Paul, Ginny and Amy, grandmother to Lauren, Hilary and predeceased by Jamie. She was a great-grandmother to Julia, Ruby and Molly, sister to Nikki Elison and Ducky Hoffman and mother-in-law to Robin, Zee and George. In 1967 Ellie graduated from The New York School of Interior Design. She earned a BA in 1977 and a Master’s Degree in Interior Design in 1983 both from Manhattanville College. Fron 1990 -2020 she was self-employed owning her own company, Antiques & Interiors in Pound Ridge NY as a designer, decorator and antiques dealer. Ellie was chic, stylish and adored travelling the world with her family. A jogger, meditator and avid reader who helped others and was passionate about health, fashion, jewelry and psychology. Her smile was infectious and she loved skipping in the streets, dancing and singing. We will miss her.

Funeral Services for Elinor will take place on Friday April 10, 2026 12:00PM at The Riverside Memorial Chapel 100 Saw Mill River Road Hawthorne, New York 10532.
