

Floyd C. Braun of Yorktown, NY, passed away on December 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife and brother. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Floyd was a steadfast presence and the heart of his family.
Born on March 14, 1953, in Yonkers, NY, Floyd was the son of the late Bernard Braun and Barbara Grossman Braun. He grew up in Yonkers alongside his older sister, Lorri Friedman, and his younger brothers, Bruce and Howard (Brandy) Braun.
Floyd earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona, where he met the love of his life, Yvonne. The two were married in New York City on August 22, 1976, and shared 49 years of marriage. Floyd spent his entire professional career as the owner of Yonkers Institutional Foods, a business he led with dedication and integrity.
In 1983, Floyd and Yvonne moved to Yorktown, NY, where they raised their son, Dustin. Floyd was deeply committed to his community and proudly served as a Yorktown Town Councilman after being elected in 1997.
Above all else, Floyd was a family man. In addition to being a loving husband and father, he was a proud and devoted “Papa” to his grandsons, Harrison and Levi.
Floyd is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne; his son, Dustin; his daughter-in-law, Kelly; his cherished grandsons, Harrison and Levi; his siblings, Lorri (Peter) Friedman, Bruce (Lori) Braun, and Howard Braun; his nephew, Jesse; and his nieces, Meri, Dana, Nicole, and Morgan.
