I was saddened to hear of Frank's passing.  He was a wonderful giving man who fought for the kids of this country.  It's hard to think of SNA's Legislative Conference without his voice.  Rest in Peace my sweet friend.

Today Frank was on my heart. I have wondered how he is doing and was so sad to see of his passing. He was such a good friend to my mom, Eleanore Mays, his secretary in the Norwalk Schools for over 20 years. He was a man of true compassion.

The children of this country have lost a true champion. Frank passionately believed that every child should be fed every day, as a natural part of the school day. He knew that hungry children can not learn, and that the expense of feeding them would be insignificant compared to the benefits that society would reap in terms of healthier, better educated citizens. He never lost that passion. He was a truly lovely person, who was dedicated to his family, his friends, and his vision for the future . I counted him as a friend, and a mentor. He will be missed.

So sorry to learn today of Frank's passing.   He was a gentle giant of a man always working in support of all children.  I was privileged to have had the opportunity to work with him at SNA.  He fought so hard for "Universal Lunch" and should that ever happen it should bear Frank's name.

Frank Harris was the head of the Norwalk Public Schools Food Services for many decades in Norwalk, CT. I admired his spirit, positive, can-do attitude and total dedication to ensuring that the young people of Norwalk and the country would never go hungry. As a former Central Office administrator of the Norwalk Public  Schools, I know how lucky we all were to have Frank in charge of feeding our children. G-d bless you, my friend.

"Frank was a special person and friend to my dad and our family."  A long time card player with my dad and their group of friends (i.e. Hannah and Helmut; Trudy and Bernt; Paul and Dolly).  Frank will be missed greatly.

Frank was a special friend to me and to the children of this country.  He always stood up for universal lunch for all children and spoke on this issue to Congress.  And he did it with a sincere smile. I will miss him as will many others. Blessings to all his family and friends.
