Linda Gloria Lang Shumofsky of White Plains, NY, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. She was a proud homemaker, who, with her beloved husband Edward (d. 2008), raised three children. Born in New York City, Linda grew up in the Bronx and then Mount Vernon, NY. She graduated from New York University and Columbia Teacher’s College. She eventually moved with her husband and children to New Rochelle. In addition to being a supportive mother and wife, she helped run her husband’s medical offices. After her husband’s death, Linda moved to White Plains, becoming a travel agent, specializing in cruises and developing a loyal client base. She is survived by her three children, Elisa (Eric), Bonnie Bloom (Mitchell), and Joseph (Jordan), and her grandchildren Harrison and Max.
There will be a graveside funeral at the Wellwood Cemetery at 1500 Wellwood Avenue,
West Babylon, NY on March 10 at 2 pm.
Please use the Beth Moses gate to enter and meet at the office at
1:30 pm (large tan building with turquoise roof) and the procession to the grave site will follow
