Dear Bill and Family,
I am so sad and deeply sorry for your loss. Phyllis loved you all so much and was willing to do whatever it took to make sure that she was with you for as long as she could. She was a fighter and she proved that having the right doctors, the right meds, the right outlook and  the right reason to live, you can beat the diagnostic odds.  And she did just that. 
Phyllis was a mentor and friend to me for 25years. Her mind was a vault of information. Her personality and smile lit up a room. I enjoyed being with her and could count on her at any time. There is so much I will miss about her. I loved her and will keep her in my heart always. 
May Phyllis' memory be a blessing. 
I know she will be looking over you always.

Phyllis was our cherished friend for over 50 years. She was a very caring friend, wonderful wife, amazing mother and grandmother. She worked hard to take care of her family and those that needed her help. Everyone around her benefited from her wisdom and guidance.
She has been an important part of our lives and we will miss her immensely. May her memory always be a blessing.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my dear childhood friend.   
I have so many memories of sleepovers, parties,  and adventures together.  At our 50th high school reunion we went to visit her mom at her independent living facility.   It was such a fun to reminisce with her about our childhood.   My deepest condolences to the family.

So Sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. She was a warm and caring woman who worked hard to ensure others had support and opportunities. She will be missed by both of you as well as your families. So glad she got some time to spend with you and her grandkids before she passed. Also, it was good you could be there for her final moments. I will always remember her wonderful smile and the support she gave to your theater endeavors! It is always difficult when a parent dies no matter how old we are. A truly remarkable woman who defined the term over achiever. I will always remember her as the first friend I made when we abruptly moved in the middle of December and I entered 4th grade at a new school. Friendless, she and her wonderful Mother invited me to their home after school and made me feel accepted.

During my 30+ years at NCJW, I worked with many extraordinary advocates. She was one of a kind! Working with Phyllis from her time as Connecticut SPA through her presidency, was a real privilege and pleasure. She was passionate, thoughtful, precise, strategic, and tireless in her push for abortion rights, family leave, fair courts, religion-state separation, civil rights, and so many other important causes. I valued her insight and advice and sought it often, learning so much from her. After I retired and Phyllis was an "honorary" with an institutional memory second to none, we got to know each other more personally. We loved to talk about family, and she shared her boundless pride in her children. Although I know that we were lucky to have Phyllis longer than medical science expected, still her loss is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with her family, and I hope that her memory will be both a blessing and a comfort. May she rest in peace and power.

Gary and l were very sorry to hear of the passing of Phyllis.
We were friends and lived near each other in Brookfield, Ct. till they moved to a Fla. We have children the same age and spent many years working together in NCJW..

Phyllis had one of the largest hearts I've ever known. I met her through her son David, but almost immediately I felt that she was my friend and I hers. I feel grateful to have had her in my life.

I have many fond memories of Phyllis from my years serving on the National board of NCJW. We traveled to Israel together on one of NCJW’s many missions. She was a wonderful mentor and a truly warm and lovely friend.
Sending sincere condolences to Bill and her family.

I had the great privilege to call Phyllis my friend, my mentor and the one who I trusted to always have my back. 
Her smile and enthusiasm could light up any room she walked into. I would follow her like a puppy and hang on to every word she said. Phyllis’ attention to detail was so unmatched that when I was Recording Secretary of NCJW. National, it was Phyllis I sent the meeting minutes to approve before I sent them into the office.
I will forever be grateful to have known Phyllis and to have had her in my life.
