

Sanda D. Wolff, age 80, formerly of New Rochelle, Chappaqua and Armonk NY, loving daughter of the late Harry Dobrick and Hazel Buxbaum, beautiful wife of Kurt wonderful mother of Tracy and Brett, died late Tuesday March 7th (early morning of March 8th eastern standard time) in her winter home in Rancho La Quinta Country Club in La Quinta, California. Born in Chicago on January 28th1937, Sandy met Kurt J Wolff in 1956 in Ann Arbor. She graduated the University of Michigan College of LS&A and the University of Michigan Law School in 1958. They married in the Gold Coast room at The Drake Hotel, in Chicago on December 28 that same year. In her early career she worked as a speech teacher/pathologist in the New Rochelle NY School district at both the then Davis and Ward elementary schools. She would say her greatest accomplishment was raising her children daughter Tracy Powell-Rudy (of Pleasantville, NY) and son Brett H. Wolff M.D. (of Rancho Mirage California) and her marriage of 58 years to her love Kurt. She also served as PTA President for Anshe Sholom in New Rochelle where she and her husband have been members since 1970. In addition to her spouse and children, she is survived by her younger sister Judith, her son-in-law Chris Rudy, grandchildren Michael Powell and Samantha Rudy and caregiver Maria Teresa Armenta. A funeral service will be held at the Riverside Memorial Chapel in Mt. Vernon, NY at noon on Sunday March 12. Burial will be at Sharon Gardens Cemetery Valhalla, NY with the family sitting shiva from 4-7pm Sunday in her daughter’s Pleasantville home and the remainder of this week from 1-3pm and 6-9pm.
