Sheldon Noren

Sheldon Noren, 89, of New Rochelle, New York, peacefully passed away on Saturday April 25, 2020. He was born in Brooklyn, New York to Aaron and Yetta (Lutzky) Noren on March 19, 1931. He graduated from Midwood High School and later went on to earn a degree in History and Political Science at New York University and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He practiced podiatry in Mount Vernon, N.Y. for over 20 years before moving to New Rochelle. He was married for 47 years to Marion (Kellner) Noren, who passed on October 4, 2001. They met in the Catskills when he was 19 and she was 16 years of age.

He is survived by his daughters, Teri Lynn Noren and Deborah Ann Noren, both of Manhattan. He is the cherished grandfather of Dr. Lenard William Babus & his wife Emily Owen Babus, and Robert Andrew Babus & his partner Sara Alice Ricker. He is also preceded in death by his sister Sandra Noren.

A private graveside service will be held at Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at 1:30 pm. The times for a virtual shiva are yet to be determined.
