
Allen “Bud” Parrish passed away March 8, 2025, at the age of 93 in Hemet, California. Bud was born to Allen “Pleasant” and Arvilla “Nete” (Tyler) Parrish, August 21, 1931, in Ida Grove, Iowa. He was one of 7
children. In 1950, Bud met, and married Mary Lou (Butcher) and they moved to Sioux City, Iowa. Where they had 3 sons: Larry, Dennis and Timothy. They later all moved to Los Angeles, California, where he
opened a used car dealership and was a shrewd businessman. Bud and Mary Lou later divorced, and he married his second wife, Nancy. During that time, he became a Yacht Acquisition Specialist and obtained his Pilot License. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking them flying to Catalina for breakfast, Christmas Eve Yacht Parades and sleepovers on the “boat”. He especially enjoyed repossession and his many trips to Cabo to repossess a Yacht or 3. Bud and Nancy later divorced.
In 2006, he married Dorothy Howland, and they settled in Hemet, California. They enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and were very active in their retirement community. Bud enjoyed life. He loved to surprise family with a visit often just to show us the new truck he bought because the color of last years was wrong, for the annual Memorial Day Family Extravaganza, coming to see his great and great-great granddaughters shortly after they were born, these visits last until 91. He loved Karaoke, Pickle Ball and going to the gym which he did religiously until 6 months ago.Survived by his wife, Dorothy Howland, sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Linda Parrish of Utah, Dennis and Ida Parrish of Oregon and Tim and Susie Parrish of Arizona; grandchildren, Theresa (CJ), Danny, Greg (Lori), Keith, Kae (Joe), Crystal, Steven (Cheri) and Nicole; great grandchildren, Rachel (Sam), Kristopher (Whitney), Riley (Chris), Destry, Bryce (Jennifer), Haley, Brayden, Allyn, Lainey, Nate, Sam (Sky), Gregory (Autumn), Cammie, Catrina, Lillian, Brayden, Sophia; great-great grandchildren, Moira, Sally, Ellie, Archer, Aiden, Amelia, Annalise, Kaysen and Dana; sisters, Helen and Carol; sister-in-law, Debbie; and many nieces, nephews, great
nieces, great nephews and just a lot of people who loved him.
Preceded in death by his parents; Pleasant and Nete, siblings and siblings in-law; Pauline (Richard), Emma (Taka), Clyde “Junior”, Lee, Carl and Arvilla, nephew; Larry, nieces; Julie, Sandra and April, and great great granddaughter, Brynlee.
