I shared one of
Angie's last days
Life changing moment
In so many ways
Family is loving
And understanding
Angie knew what she wanted
Not too demanding
Burrito with bacon
Papas and the rest
Guacamole she whispered
Santana's the best
Fifty fifty bar smoothie
I'd like something sweet
Ice chips and water
Please rub my feet
Angie looked at Annie
And then looked at me
Whispered out loud
How blessed are we
Something we knew
We're reminded again
We're married to
Each other's best friend
At times we laughed
At times we cried
But always grateful
To be by her side
Time for laughter
And time to grieve
Then came the time
When I had to leave
She mouthed "I love you"
I'll see you in a while
Then Angie gave me
The biggest of smiles
That was our moment
I'll always think of
The kind that comes
From heaven above
Journey's end and beginning
Last and first mile
Sleep with the Angels
Wear an Angel's smile
