Anna Jane McLean, age 92, passed away on September 13, 2016 in Hemet, CA. She was born June 7, 1924, in Ozark, MO to Robert Ernest and Lillian (Eutsler) Williams. She married Jack Monroe McLean, son of Joseph Brandon and Bessie (Brown) Mclean, on September 2, 1944, in Homestead, FL. They lived in Kansas City, Kansas, where they had two daughters, Kelly (McLean) Clark and Karen (Wolfe) (Caswell) McLean. They moved to Hawthorne, CA where Ann worked part time in the school cafeterias. This was great for raising two girls as she was home before and after school, with holidays and summers off. They retired to Hemet, CA 35 years ago.
Ann was a talented artist and her paintings adorned the walls her home, as well as the homes of both family and friends. She loved to talk and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. She would often go into story-telling mode, stirring up long-forgotten memories. She and Jack traveled the country in their motorhome, making many friends along the way. She was very health-conscious and taught anyone who would listen about nutrition. She also taught exercise classes to seniors until she was well into her 80's.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her brothers, John, Gene and George Williams; and her sisters, Agnes and Austa. Ann is survived by her daughters; her grandchildren--Todd and Michelle ( ) Clark, Scott and Cyndi (Geren) Clark, Pam Wolfe, Michael and Andrea (Wolfe) Demirel, and Brandon Wolfe; five great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Joan (Lucas) McLean. Viewing will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 8 to 10:30 AM, at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 1501 W. Florida Ave., Hemet, CA, followed by a memorial service at The Camelot, 800 W. Oakland Ave., Hemet, CA, at 11 a.m. She will be buried at National Cemetery at a future date.
