Aristeo Coronel Ledesma (Grampy), age 85, of San Jacinto, CA, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Aristeo was born on September 3, 1935 in San Pedro Escanela, Queretaro, Mexico. He was the only child of the late Erasmo Ledesma and the late Maria Luisa Benavidez. As a child he spent time in Mexico and Weslaco, Texas. Throughout his teen years he was a migrant worker and would travel to other states to harvest the crops. In 1959 he settled in San Jacinto and was a resident for 61 years. Aristeo worked at Jack Gosch Ford as a detail supervisor for 26 years. He was a lifetime parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years; Petra Ochoa Ledesma, his children, Jose Luis (Lisa) Ledesma, Jose Erasmo (Soraya) Ledesma, Aristeo (Sarah) Ledesma and Lucinda (Gary) Aguilar, seven grandchildren, Jessie, Jamie, Joseph, Natalia, Julissa, Nicolas and Aristeo Joseph and 12 great grandchildren.
Aristeo brought great joy to his family and all those around him. His sense of humor brightened his family’s core. He never met a stranger. Aristeo would share his story with everyone. He spent many hours holding the remote and watching westerns and novelas. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed watching them play sports. He spent hours practicing with his children and “coaching” from the bleachers. Aristeo also loved going to the movies and traveling. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy. He looked forward to watching football with them, and he did not even care who was playing. He just wanted to be surrounded by his family. He especially felt great comfort knowing his “honey” was always by his side. Aristeo leaves a great void in his family. His family will forever hold him in their hearts. The family finds comfort knowing they all carry a little of his personality with them. They were blessed with many wonderful memories and sayings: “Love you with all my heart.”
