I am Evalee mccabe Belva's great granddaughter. I was named after her mother. I remember when I was a little girl I would stay the night at her house. She would always read her Bible before bed. One night she got done reading and tucked it under her pillow. Me being a child at the time found it odd. I'll never forget what she said. Her response was it's my secret weapon. She smiled and off to bed we went. I'm glad  she had the chance to see me be successful and start a family of my own. I loved her very much.

I always remembered our beloved Geegee being so fancy and proper. Her fancy hats, lipstick and sparkly shoes, She was royalty in my eyes, a true queen. She had the best laugh and truly was beautiful inside and out. She always welcomed you with open arms and no judgment, you were safe in Geegee's arms. She taught me how to pray and have faith in the lord. I loved getting dressed up and going to church with her when I was a child and anytime I came to visit her. I've always felt that we had a special bond, she always looked at me with the purest of love. I have so many memories with her that I will cherish for all of my life. From hot summer days swimming in her pool and trying on all her jewelry as a child to confiding in her with all my fears and struggles adulthood had brought. Geegee always gave me the best advice, I remember one day she told me you can have fear or you can have faith but you can't have both. You can give it to the Lord and have full faith he will guide you and show you the path you need to be on, but you can't have fear that he will mislead you because he will never mislead you. Have faith in our Lord. I will always remember those words and they have helped me in so many hard times. Geegee was so very special to not only me but to my three beautiful children. I'm incredibly grateful my children knew her and got the chance to make memories with her. When I sat my children down to talk about Geegee being ready to go heaven it was one of the hardest things I've had to do as a parent. One part of our conversation I told them not to be afraid that Geegee was not afraid, then I asked each one of them if they were scared for her. Skyley's reply warmed my heart "No she will be fine with Jesus, he loves her" she couldn't have been more right. Belva Irene truly was an angel that walked on earth. She will be forever loved, cherished and truly missed.

Grandma loved her family. Grandma loved God. She desired for all of her family to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.  She loved to cook, bake, and entertain.  She was also handy with a needle,  be it embroidery,  crocheting, or sewing.   She made the best fruitcakes.  She gets to celebrate in heaven, she has gone home.

All the memories I have of my beloved Aunt I will always cherish she was one of a kind really gonna miss her but I know she is in alot better place with my Grandma and Grandpa her journey is just begining Lord thank you for her she was the greatest Aunt Belva save me a spot
