Benjamin Perez

Benjamin was born March 26, 1934 in Los Angeles, CA to Benjamin and Ramona Perez.

He graduated from Garfield High School in 1953. He joined the United States Air Force on March 5, 1954. He was honorably discharged November 6, 1957.

Benjamin married Mary Helen Loya on July 12, 1954 by a justice of the peace in Los Angeles, CA. They were married for 71 years and they had 4 children.

Benjamin worked for 26 years at Edwards Air Force Base in the print shop. After retiring, Benjamin and Mary Helen managed Motel 6's in several SoCal locations. He enjoyed playing soft ball with different men's leagues. He spent several years as a Manager at Monte Vista Little League. One year being named the All-Star Team Manager. They enjoyed traveling, Square Dancing and bowling. He also enjoyed theater, which he was cast in several plays at Antelope Valley College.

Benjamin is survived by his wife, Mary Helen, sister Sally Quintana, and three sons; Daniel, John and Victor and one daughter, Teresa Price. Ten grandchildren; Kristin, Chantel, Beanna, Jessica, Juan, Jenniffer, Giavanna, Kloe and eight Great Grandchildren.

Preceding Benjamin in death are his parents, Benjamin and Ramona; his brother, Gilbert; and grandson, Taylor Pineda.

On Wednesday, July 23 at 12:30, Benjamin will be laid to rest at Joshua Mortuary and Memorial Park at 808 E. Lancaster Blvd., Lancaster, CA 93535.
