Carol Ann Evans

Carol Ann Evans, 73 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014, at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California. She was born Friday, June 20, 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Chester and Ann Klimek. In the 1950's, the Klimek family moved to Southern California where Carol attended Santa Fe High School. Carol met and married the love of her life, Ron Evans in 1959. Carol and Ron lived in Whittier for more than 40 years before moving to their retirement residence in Hemet, Ca. in 2007.

Throughout her life, Carol placed family above everything else. She was very social by nature and had many life-long friends. Her family believes it was her joy for life and jubilant outlook that made her so special. Family gatherings, parties and celebrations were among her favorite activities. Carol experienced the gift of life in 1998 when she received a liver transplant. This event triggered an increased passion for life and Carol spent the next 16 years doing all the things she enjoyed so much including: travel, shopping, homemaking and socializing. Those who knew Carol described her as caring, beautiful, and vibrant. Carol is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ron Evans, son Tim Evans (Gale), daughter Tricia Darling ( Dirk ), brothers Chester Klimek ( Jan ), Rick Klimek ( Dee ), Dennis Klimek ( Judy ), and grandchildren Ryan Evans, Randy Evans, Alyssa Evans, and Avery Darling. Preceding her in death were her sisters Helen West and Mary Ann Klimek, and brother Edward Klimek.
