Riverside - Firefighters from Southern California will gather together to pay their respects to CAL FIRE Firefighter Christopher Douglas, who paid the ultimate sacrifice with his life while responding to an emergency incident last week. A celebration of Christopher's life with full Line of Duty Death fire service honors, will take place this Friday, July 12 at 3 p.m.: The Bridge Church, 38801 Calistoga Drive, Murrieta, 92563.
Firefighter Christopher Douglas, a Fire Apparatus Engineer/Paramedic for CAL FIRE, was fatally injured on July 5th after being struck by a vehicle while responding to an emergency incident in Riverside County. Douglas, who has been with CAL FIRE for nearly a decade, worked out of Fire Station 35 in Thousand Palms. Christopher Douglas, 41-years-of-age, leaves behind his wife Amy, who is expecting their second child, and two-year-old son Samuel.
