Cyndi was born to Raymond and Leotta Doering on January 2, 1945 in San Francisco. She graduated from Hilltop High School, Chula Vista, in 1963. Her children Erin Firkins and Frank Wilson were born during her tenure with Pacific Bell as a telephone operator. In 1976 she married the love of her life Loyd Wilson who has always stood steadfastly by her side.
In the early 80’s, Cyndi began her studies at Southwestern College in pursuit to become a registered nurse. Her dream turned into reality when she was hired at the Chula Vista Medical Center on 3rd Avenue. In 1994 Cyndi and Loyd moved to San Jacinto and she started her job as a case manager for Hemet Hospital and then PrimeCare of Hemet Valley.
Cyndi and Loyd purchased a motorhome and spent time camping and traveling to ensure she stayed in close contact with her family, which was so important to her. Her grandson Beau came to live with Cyndi in 2005 and she lovingly parented him until her death. Cyndi was the kind of person who would help anyone in need. People always felt welcome in Cyndi’s home and there was always an extra bed in case you needed to stay the weekend or longer. She had an infectious smile and loved giving great big hugs, snuggles, and kisses. Cyndi especially loved to shop and buy gifts to make others feel special and remembered. There was nothing more joyful to her than seeing someone smile in reaction to a thoughtful present.
Cyndi is survived by her husband Loyd Wilson, children Erin (Bill) Firkins, Frank (Shayne) Wilson, grandchildren Beau and Katherine Wilson, Christopher (Kylie), Zach, and Brianne Firkins, great-grandchildren Carlyle and Kendrick Firkins, and siblings Mike, Richie, Beth, and Sue.
Services will be held on August 29th from 12-2 at Miller Jones Mortuary, 1501 W. Florida, Hemet Ca.
