

Darryl Wesley Thomas was born to the parentage of Marion Lee (M.L) and Addie Mae Dickson-Thomas; whom both preceded him in death. Darryl was the only child born to this union but he had two siblings, Aj Sanders Jr.; whom preceded him in death and a sister Carolyne Sanders from his mother's previous marriage. Darryl accepted Christ at a very young age, he enjoyed going to church with his aunt Mozale Henderson.
As a child Darryl enjoyed playing sports, he played pop Warmer football and while receiving his education in Compton unified school district, he delighted in the chance to play varsity football for Centennial High School. He received his HS Diploma in 1975. In 1976 God blessed Darryl with his first born son, Darryl Jr and his first born daughter, Cotati. In 1978 he welcomed his baby boy, Eric. While attending Centennial High School he met the love of his life, Cassandra Carter, whom later would become his wife in October 2007. To this union they were blessed yet again with two more beautiful girls, Shannon and his baby girl Brittne.
After graduating high school he attended Cerritos College studying court stenography. Darryl loved to cook; he was employed by Amtrack Railroad in 1987 and worked as a Certified Food Specialist for 18 years before retiring. In 2006 Darryl and Cassandra opened LaSalle House, a sober living home which Darryl was passionate about. Darryl loved life; he enjoyed watching National Geographic as well as the History and Food channels. He loved his family and was always there when needed.
