David Maxwell Helsley, 79, passed away peacefully at home on May 2nd, 2017. He was born August 6th, 1937 in Pittsburg Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late David Helsley and the late Virginia Helsley. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Helsley. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Helsley, his sons, Craig and Shawn Helsley, step-son Danny Myers, step-daughter Amy DeBurgh, ten grandchildren, sisters Susan Eidler and Jan Downey, a niece, and nephews. David was born again into new life in Christ his Savior when he was in his 40s, and he was always ready to share the hope that he had in Christ with anyone he met. Family was incredibly important to him. He was a loyal friend, and a very kind and helpful man. He was knowledgeable about computers and electronics. He enjoyed collecting gadgets, horse-racing, and walking his dogs. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. There will be a private burial ceremony.
