She was born in Tooele, Utah to Frank Caffey Dunlavy and Martha Dorine (Tonioli) Dunlavy. After graduating from high school, she married Martin Emmanuel Sloan and moved to California.
Dee was a member of the LDS Church. She loved reading, knitting, eating marshmallows, particularly Peeps and other sweet treats and was obsessed with the color purple.
Dee is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Sloan and Greg Sloan and daughter in law Diane Sloan; grandchildren, Sydney Ward and her husband Chris Ward and Isabella Sloan; great-grandchild, Malcolm Gregory Ward and brother, Michael Dunlavy of St. George Utah. She was preceded in death by her sister Jeanette Walker.
A graveside service will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, March 21st at 11:30 a.m. Please wear purple in her honor
