Delia Artal Sanders

Delia Artal Sanders was born on October 29, 1943 in a pueblo in Spain, Cervera del Rincon to her parents Narcisso Artal and Basilisa Galindo. After graduating from school, she left her little pueblo for the big city life of Madrid. There, she was introduced to the love of her life, Air Force Sergeant Sherman B Sanders. They were soon married and gave birth to Miriam then Jennifer. The military life led her to exciting places, such as Saudi Arabia, Greece and finally settling down in her newly adopted home, California.

Delia was known for her quirkiness and laughter, but what defined her most was her dedication to family. She took great care in raising and enriching her family so she always took offense to the comment "Just A Housewife". She always believed in the Lord and relished being in the presence of worship. On January 13, 2001, Delia confessed Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior.

On Wednesday, March 16,2011, at 9:24 am the Lord came and took her hand, delivering her from all pain. She now lives in freedom and joy, dancing that silly dance we all love to copy.

Her beautiful memories will be cherished by her husband of 39 years Sherman B Sanders; her daughters Miriam Snyder (Heath) and Jennifer Ramos (Felix); stepdaughter Chris Long (Dan); grandchildren Kaylon Sanders, Anthony Ramos, Tyler Nicole Snyder, Israel Ramos and Shjon Snyder; her sister Lourdes Alcalde (Ambrosio); her sister in law Sharon Keyes; and a host of nieces, relatives and dear friends.

Her amazing legacy of unconditionally loving motherhood will be embraced and continued by her children. "You trained us well mama, we will take care of your babies".

Funeral Services have been entrusted to the care of Miller-Jones Mortuary, Perris, CA. A Graveside Service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on March 30, 2011 at 12:15pm.
