

Doris was born in the rural City of Dover, Ohio on May 4, 1928 to Charles and Agnes Rieger. Doris married Lee A. Fenstermaker, Jr. in 1946, and together raised four sons: Lee III, Dennis, Bruce, and Gary. After relocating from Ohio to California in 1950 she and her husband enjoyed raising their family with traditional conservative Catholic values.
In 1957, she began a career with General Telephone & Electronics (GTE). She was a Directory Assistant Operator, but soon set her sights on a more challenging job with more responsibilities. She became a Customer Service Representative, while two years later a Customer Service Representative Supervisor. From there she went onto become an Instructor in the Training Department. In 1971, she was promoted to the Purchasing Department where she became the first female Purchasing Agent in the California Division of GTE. In 1974, she was promoted to Materials Control Coordinator and responsible for an annual budget of sixty million dollars.
After retiring in 1982, she joined her husband Lee, Jr. in running Doris Lee Enterprises in Chino, California. They produced recognition awards such as trophies, engraving, and cloisonné pins. Of special note were the 1984 Olympic Medals and pins.
Doris and her husband were founding members of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church Community in Hemet. Over the years she was very active in the Altar Society and she also was active in the Quilter's Club as an officer and enthusiastic participant.
Doris was proceeded in death by her husband Lee Aaron Fenstermaker, Jr., son Bruce Edward Fenstermaker, sisters Rosemary Kennedy, Wilma “Billie” Ziefer, Agnes Dobbs, and Shirley Ballard.
She is survived by her sons: Lee Aaron Fenstermaker III (Ellie), Dennis Charles Fenstermaker (Vicki), and Gary Lynn Fenstermaker (Jayne), and daughter-in-law Linda Fenstermaker. Grandchildren: Heather (Rory) Kammer, Heidi (Richard) Lukofnak, Aaron (Brandie) Fenstermaker, Jerry (Angie) Fenstermaker, Cody (Kristen) Fenstermaker, Mindy (Stephen) Wilson, Jennifer Fenstermaker (David Brooks),Greg (Jessica) Fenstermaker, and Christy (Marco) Cortez. Great Grandchildren: Richie, Jaydan, Sirah, Ashland, Hallie, Jeremy, Jared, Moxie, Chelsie, Rose, Lochlan, Gregory Jr., Caiden, Emma, and Chloé. Brothers: Vince Rieger and Ambrose “Sonny” Rieger.
