Edith Maxine Burgess

April 19, 1935 - October 31, 2018

Maxine went to heaven to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Morrilton, Arkansas to Earl and Edith Wellman. She attended Newport High School in Newport, Arkansas. She sung in the choir, played basketball and was in the home coming court. Maxine grew up with Buddy and they married in 1955. They moved to California and raised three children together Tim Tom and Becky. They also helped raise Todd as if he was their own.

She had 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Maxine had a great love for God and his children. She taught Sunday school for 45 years, many times with Bud by her side. Maxine touched many people's lives, with her faith, strength and loving ways. She also overcame many hardships and hurdles in her 83 years. She never gave up she just kept looking up.

Maxine and Buddy were married for 63 years and held hands all the time and even right up until her passing. We Love you till we meet again.

The Family will be having a private memorial.
