

Edna Marie Oakley was born on January 24, 1926, and passed away on May 8th, 2013. She was 87. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, William in 2006. She is survived by her son, Bruce (Suzy) Oakley, of Batesville, Arkansas; daughter, Marcese (Ernie) Helmick, of Staunton, Virginia; brother, Charles (Doris) Dudding, of Chester, Virginia; grandsons, Courtney Oakley, of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Sean Moran, of Boston, Massachusetts; her niece Marlene (Steve) Phelps, of Temecula, California; and by many other nieces and nephews. She was born in Clifton Forge, Virginia, and spent her middle years in Buffalo, New York and Staunton, Virginia.
Edna and her husband Bill moved to Temecula in 2006. They loved the California weather and often stated that they wished that they had moved here sooner. Edna lived the final years of her life in Temecula and Murrieta. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, and especially travelling with her niece Marlene to the "500 Mile Yard Sale," in Tennessee. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt.
We were blessed to be a part of her family and to have had her in our lives. She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished in our hearts forever
Viewing will be at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd, Sun City, CA, on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 9:30 AM. Funeral Services will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery, on Friday, May 17, 2013, at 11:30 AM.
