

Emerick Anderson Mitchell, age 65, of Moreno Valley, California, passed away, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, in Moreno Valley, California. He was born on Sunday, August 14, 1949 in Los Angeles, California to the late Emerick E. Mitchell and the late Lula Mae Mitchell. He was the loving husband of Diane Mitchell for over 45 years. He served his country honorably in the Marines during the Vietnam War. He was very proud to be a Marine. Emerick was employed as a bus driver and retired after 26 years of dedicated employment. He enjoyed his time barbequing for family and friends and listening to "old school" music; but his greatest joy is his family. He will be forever in the hearts of those that loved him most. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.
Those left to mourn his passing, but cherish his memory are his loving wife, Diane Mitchell; children, Ricky Mitchell, Adriene Robinson-Lynch, Caprice Mitchell-Brown and Briana Whitney Mitchell; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Mitchell Gochin and Constance Mitchell Redden and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emerick and Lula Mae Mitchell; son, Emerick Cameron Mitchell and grandson, Emerick Devonte Mitchell.
Honoring Emerick are Augustus Gordon, Earl Perron, Kenneth Bate, Timothy Mitchell, Jason Brown, Ricky Mitchell, Anthony Hill and Ryan Mitchell Robinson, pallbearers.
Arrangements are entrusted to Miller-Jones Moreno Valley Mortuary, 23618 Sunnymead Blvd., Moreno Valley, California, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Funeral service will be at Miller-Jones Mortuary, Moreno Valley at 11:30 AM, Thursday, June 25, 2015. Committal service will follow at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
