Eunice Johnson, 89 of Hemet, California died on Monday, May 30, 2011, at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet, California . Born Monday, April 24, 1922 in Council Bluffs Iowa, she grew up on a farm where she enjoyed riding Smokey, her horse. She was married to Wilford R. Johnson who preceded her in death on August 17, 2010; they were married for 69 years. Eunice loved to play the piano, dance, sew, cook, remodel, and decorate. Eunice ran a restaurant in Denver, and had a career in retail. She is survived by her daughters, Regine Phillips of San Diego, CA, and Renee Pitts of Scottsdale, AZ., three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be held at 11:31 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2011 at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
