Gabriel Lyn Forney

Born in Roseburg, Oregon, to Carlos and Chelan Forney. Three years later became a big brother to Danielle (Forney) Schehen, of whom he was immensely proud of and loved and protected all his life. Gabe grew up being raised by a community of family, that taught him what it meant to be family, and how to be a good father. He attended Sheldon High School in Eugene, Oregon, playing football and wrestling. After high school Gabe attended University of Oregon, earning his Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts. In December 2012 he became a proud father to Ryker Kash (Forney), and in June 2016 he once again welcomed a child, a daughter Brooklyn Faith (Forney). His children were the light of his life and brought him immense joy. He is very proud of the articulate, well rounded young man Ryker is being raised to become. On a constant basis he was enamored with how fast Brooklyn was absorbing the world around her. Other than his children, Gabe LOVED MMA, watching, reading about, and occasionally participating.

Gabriel is survived in death by his children, Ryker and Brooklyn (Forney), his mother Chelan Ferguson, sister Danielle Schehen (Terrence), Aunt Nena (Mike) Bryant, Uncle Ramon (Betty Lou) Forney, Aunt Roma (Chad) McCarson, Aunt Konnie Bruner, cousins Boe Forney, Levi (Jody) Forney, Kandis (Juan) Reyes, Angela (Casey) Walker, Jessica (Zach) Bascom, nieces/nephews: Deshawn Parrish, Nevaeh O'Roy, Shamond O'Roy, Olivia Schehen, his fiancé Ericka Enright and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his dad Carlos Forney, Great Grandmother Frances Anguiano, Grandfather Joseph (Joe) Bruner, Grandmother Margaret Walton, Aunt Jolene Bruner.
