Born Monday, December 17, 1934 in Greybull, Wyoming, and lived in Hemet for 11 years.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1958. Gary enjoyed to golf and read but most of all he enjoyed to spend time with his family. He will be truly missed by all who had the honor to have known and loved him.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Roberta; sons, Devon Schafer and Alex Schafer, daughter, Tracy Bishop; step-children, Shelly Thomas, Sharon Meyer, Sean Murphy; brother, Harry Schafer; 8 grand children. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Gary to the Second Chance Heart Transplant Support Group, Inc., 182 Conover Rd, West Windsor, NJ 08550
