Gerald "Jerry" Blatt, 66, of Hemet, CA passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Loma Linda VA Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. Born Sunday, April 7, 1946 in Lakewood, OH; he was the son of the Richard and Mary Blatt.
He was a longshoreman for Toledo Lorraine for 17 years and in his spare time enjoyed reading, bike riding, and playing shuffleboard and golf. He was a champion shuffleboard player.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Joanna Acton Blatt; sons, Stephen Blatt, Nathan Blatt, and Jonathan Blatt; daughter, Kate Knight; sister, Judy Philpott; and three grandchildren.
In honor of his dedicated service in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, Jerry will be respectfully laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Inurnment will be private.
