

Gerald SheldonGerald Sheldon, 74, of Hemet, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2010, at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Hospital in Loma Linda.Born Wednesday, July 29, 1936 in Warren, Ohio. He was the husbnad of Linda Sheldon. They were married for 48 years. He was known in the community as a teacher for Hemet High School as a vocational welding teacher. He had a student that won the VICA gold medal. He was an artist and used those skills to decorate his yard with ornimental pieces. He loved his students and often invited them for dinner and visits at his home.He visited Disneyland many times and took vacations to the Worlds Fair, Canada, Washington and Parker Dam to name a few. He loved to go fishing and teaching the grand children. He was a member of the American Legion local post 53. He loved to go to Soboba and watch the boxing. He was kind man and would give you his shirt off his back if the need would arrise.Surviving are daughters, Gerri-Lynn Bridgers and Cynthia Dawn Oliver; brothers Leroy Sheldon, Robert Sheldon and Ronald Sheldon; sister Melody Faye Sheldon; 6 grand children; 3 great- grandchildren.Services will be at Miller-Jones Mortuary Chapel on November 11, 2010 at 10:00am.Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery.
