Gloria was born on May 16, 1942, to Rudy and Josephine Aranda in Los Angeles, California. She graduated from Montebello High School and married Gaylon H Kent in 1965. She spent most of her professional life in hospital administration.
Gaylon and Gloria had two sons, Gaylon Mark and Loren Jackson. After many years of living in the San Gabriel Valley, she and Gaylon moved to Moreno Valley in the late 1980's, where both would eventually retire.
Gloria enjoyed crocheting and reading and watching television. She was preceded in death by her husband Gaylon H, her son Loren and her brother Dan. She is survived by her son Gaylon M, sisters Norma Ferrales and Sylvia Gandara, her brother Rudy Aranda, assorted nieces and nephews and her old and dear friend Marsha Wynne.
The Aranda family is scattered throughout Southern California, but always enjoyed at least two holidays a year for a family get together. Gloria and her sisters would "entertain" as a famous singing group for fun.
Gloria will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor.
"There is a place, I have been told,
Beyond an open gate
All have been invited
Where friends and loved ones wait
It holds eternal promise
Of everlasting peace
No pain or sorrow ever comes
And teardrops there have ceased
Abundant life is evident
Constant, fresh and new
A garden of provision
With Eternity in view
The promise is awaiting
A place we can abide
Fulfilled for all who answer
The call to come inside."
