Gordon Robert McGrane

Gordon was born on Monday, August 5, 1929 in Long Beach, California and was the husband of Patricia McGrane. They raised their children in Orange CA, then moved to central coast and lived in Nipomo for 20 years. They returned to California in Hemet in 2010 where Gordon lived the remainder of his life.

Gordon was a graduate of UC Berkeley like both of his parents. He was a proud alumni and fraternal member of Theta Delta Chi,

Gordon loved taking photos. He spent more than 45 years as a photographer at Albert & James Photographers, mostly taking photos of weddings and high school dances and events. His co-workers loved working with him and looked to him as their mentor.

In his free time, Gordon enjoyed volunteering at several local churches and was willing to help anyone who asked. He was also known as someone who pretty much had anything you may need. Gordon never threw anything away, so his garage was full of odds and ends. His friends and neighbors would often stop by to ask Gordon if he had what they needed, and he usually did.

Gordon was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and was a father figure to many more.

Surviving are wife, Patricia McGrane numerous children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
