

Henry Hernandez Lopez, age 79, passed away peacefully at his home in Hemet on July 1, 2013. Henry was born on Wednesday, May 23, 1939 to Augustine and Hermania Lopez in Los Angeles, California. Henry proudly served our country during Korean War in the United States Navy. His home away from home was the local VFW hall in Hemet where he shared his love for our country with fellow comrades and volunteered whenever he was needed. While at home he enjoyed his woodworking projects he built in his garage or building military airplanes and ships. Henry was a very active member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church where he was an usher. Henry is survived by his devoted daughter, Elaine (Dennis) White of Rialto, California; grandchildren, Joshua, Joy, James, and Justin; great-granddaughter, Kayla; brother, Robert Lopez; and sisters, Eleanor (Ernest) Maldonado, Yolanda Aguilar, and Mary Rodriguez. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 9:00am-12:00pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00pm at McWane Family Funeral Home 350 North San Jacinto Street, Hemet, California 92543. Graveside Services will follow at San Jacinto Valley Cemetery 2555 South Santa Fe Street, San Jacinto, California 92583. Henry touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know him and who loved him.
