

A private memorial service is scheduled to be held at a future date through Miller-Jones in Sun City, CA.
He was born September 16, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana to Jess and Marian Wolfe. His father was a repairman for Westinghouse in South Bend, Indiana. His mother came up from Joy, Illinois as a homemaker. They moved to California in 1956.
J spent summers at his grandparents in remote areas of Iowa and involved in the Boy scouts. He graduated from Excelsior High School in 1969. He later attended college at the Golden West College for a short time. J joined the dart and pool league at his local bar, where he met Evelyn Wolfe then later married her in Las Vegas, Nevada in September 1977.
J started his construction career by digging pools in the Southern California area. He also worked on some of Hollywood and Beverly Hills' finest mansions and condos. J eventually started his own company which he ran for fifteen years before being employed with Dalke & Sons for the remainder of his career.
J was an active member of the USPGA since 2006. In the past J was active in the Lutherans' League, the Boy Scouts, with Habitat for Humanity, and donated blood regularly.
J received an award for his Hole in One at Paradise Knolls Golf Course in 1998. He won the longest beard in 1990 and shaggiest beard in 1991 at Mr. Whisker's Contest at the Norco Fair. He also won numerous dart and pool tournaments his youth and earned many merit badges during his time in the Cub & Boy scouts.
His interests included family, golfing, coin collecting, and reading. He devoted much of his time and energy as a contractor to family members.
Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife, Evelyn; sister, Mary Jo Fisher; brothers, Jon, Jim, and Jeff; brother-in-law, James and their spouses; his daughter, Jessica Wolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Marian Wolfe; son, James M. Wolfe; and his grandson, James C. Wolfe IV.
