

Jack was born in Greenville, South Carolina on November 7, 1934. He attended Clemson University in South Carolina for 2 years and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. Jack worked in the Aerospace industry for about 20 years. At age 40, he returned to school and finished with his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Redlands. Jack was second in line to work on the ill-fated space craft, the Challenger, but did not go on the mission. His love of flying and travel allowed him to visit many beautiful destinations with his wife of 54 years, Lois (Douglas) Scott.
Jack was a simple, loyal, and devoted man. He loved his family and was especially devoted to his wife Lois, who precedes him in death. Jack is survived by his son Douglas Scott of Spring Valley, CA and step-sister Janice Simpson of Alabama, and many extended family members and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory - Hemet, 1501 West Florida Ave, Hemet, CA where the family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, January 31, 2014. Funeral service will be at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:30 PM, Friday, January 31, 2014. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA.
