James Richard Woodard Jr.

James Richard Woodard Jr., 70 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020, at Hemet Global Medical Center in Hemet, California. He was born on Sunday, December 11, 1949 and was the son of the late James and Shirley Woodard. He was married to the love of his life, Karen for over 30 years. James worked as an Technical Illustrator and was also very gifted with his ability to work with wood, building cabinets and furniture for family and friends. James grew up in Orange County and Dana Point was a favorite sailing and surfing spot. He loved the beach, surfing, sailing and hanging out with friends. He loved to sail and was licensed to sail up to a 35' sailboat, he often sailed out of San Diego and Dana Point areas. He loved to entertain, and had a quick wit and a great sense of humor. Family was very important to James, he loved to spend time with his children, grandkids, whom he was extremely proud of, friends were also special to him and he always made time for them. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Surviving is his wife Karen Woodard, daughter Christina Floe ( Eric ); son Daniel Woodard ( Tara ); Michael Boggs and Dustin Boggs, brother Rodney Woodard ( Sonja ) and sister Beverly Castro ( Ramon ); and 9 grandchildren. Services will be private.
