

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jeanne Uhlar. Born on February 8, 1934 she departed this life peacefully at the age of 91on November 13, 2025. Jeanne leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children: Bob Uhlar, Jr. George Uhlar, Sandra Uhlar, and Gail Murray. She has five grandchildren; Rachel Uhlar, Abigail Uhlar, Eric Uhlar, Rob Murray and Scott Murray, and a host of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Born Jeanne Benedix in Chicago, Illinois she was raised by the Greatest Generation and had many memories of growing up during that time. Jeanne attended catholic grammar school and graduated from The Immaculata. She worked for the National Safety Board in downtown Chicago and enjoyed the arts. In 1955 she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Uhlar. Theirs was a whirlwind romance that lasted over 61 years. Bob and Jeanne raised their family in Chicago and she became a newspaper columnist for a regional newspaper for over 20 years.
In 1990 Jeanne and Bob moved to Hemet, California and Panorama Village specifically. Active in her community including becoming the librarian for 28 years at the Jeanne M Uhlar Memorial Library. She was on the board of several committees and enjoyed being involved with her neighbors.
Jeanne had a gentle spirit and a nurturing heart and dedicated her life to caring for those around her. She was a pillar of support, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love in every aspect of her life. Her smile could light up the room, and her laughter brought joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Miller Jones Mortuary 1501 W Florida Avenue in Hemet, California, where family and friends are invited to gather and honor her remarkable life.
