

Jeannie (Jane) Buccino was born December 11, 1926 and at peace February 7, 2020 in Southern California where she spent her last three years. She worked as a Bake Lab Technician for 40 years with Stauffer Chemical in New York. Jeannie was an avid Scrabble player and the unofficial 1985 queen of Westchester’s cadre competition Scrabble players where she won a seat in an International Scrabble Tournament at which she finished 125th of 302 players from the U.S., Canada, Trinidad, Australia, and Israel. She loved shopping, the theatre, the ballet, and the opera. She was preceeded in death by her siblings Mary Buccino, Leonard (Ann Spinozzi) Buccino, Lorenzo Buccino, Lucille (Howard) Terock, and Violet (Louis) Piattoni. She is survived by her sister Antoinette (the late Carl) Linse and many beloved nieces and nephews: Michael (Theresa) Buccino, Karen Terock, Sharon Terock, Joann Piattoni Cormican, Lawrence (Susan) Terock, Michele Linse (Scott) Jeffers, Maureen Linse (Michael) Adras, and great nieces and nephews: James (Laura) Cormican, Erik Terock, David Terock, Rachel (Joseph Hardy) Adras, and Natalie Adras. She also leaves behind many friends and “family” in New York and Boston. Her final resting place will be at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, Illinois following a memorial service.
