

Jerry 'Rambo' Oneal Robinson, 61, resided in Lake Elsinore, CA. Jerry passed away on August 23, 2011 in Riverside, CA from cancer caused by chemical exposure of Agent Orange during his tour of duty in Viet Nam.
He was born on March 18, 1950 in Paris, Arkansas to Eulis 'Hank' and Zelma 'Gladys' Robinson. The family moved to Corona, CA in 1953. Jerry resided in Corona and attended Corona Senior High School, Class of 1968, joined the US Army in July 1969. He proudly served in Viet Nam where he was severely wounded. Jerry received two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star for his heroic actions. He returned to the United States and after recuperating from his wounds, finished his enlistment at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
Jerry loved to cook, go hunting with his hunting dogs, his chickens, gardening and family bar-be-ques and going to church. Most of all he loved having his children and grandchildren around him. He enjoyed listening to country music and southern rock. He was a certified welder for twenty-six years and operated his own business, 'American Portable Welding'. He was also a heavy equipment operator for various pipeline construction companies.
Jerry married Pamela De Leon in 1974 and while they were married they lived in Corona, Lake Elsinore and Anza. After they divorced, they continued to keep in contact with each other and Pamela devoted care and love to him during his illness the last few months of his life.
He leaves behind a step-son, David De Leon of California, a stepdaughter, Tracie Gonzales and husband Robert, of Hesperia. His five children, Amanda Castillo and husband Jose, of Texas, Jessica Robinson of Hesperia, Jamie Stayskal and husband Matt, of Oceanside, CA, Dustin Robinson of Corona, and Jarred Robinson of Houston, Texas. His grandchildren Robert, Camrie and Justin Gonzales, JesseJames and Wyatt Stayskal, Aprilliya and Aimee Castillo, Ashlie Kao Robinson, Evelyn and Cyara Kao, a great-grandson Tye Gonzales. His parents, Hank and Gladys Robinson, a sister, Brenda Rawson and husband Robert of Hemet, a brother, Ray Robinson, of Hemet, a brother Gary Robinson of Corona, and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, and many lifetime friends. A brother, James Olin Robinson, preceded him in death. He also leaves behind his two beagles, Maxi and Sammie.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 10:00AM at Miller-Jones Mortuary, 26770 Murrieta Rd, Sun City, CA. A cemetery service with Military Honors will follow at 1:45PM, September 2, 2011 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA. A reception at 3PM will follow at the home of Brenda Rawson, 247 Bluegrass Ct, Hemet, CA 92543.
