Jim Ly

Jim was born on October 1, 1979, in Long Beach, California to Mao Xiong Ly and Sai Ying Ly. He graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1997 and continued his education at Long Beach City College and Cerritos College. In 2001, he welcomed a beautiful daughter, Sarah Ly, into this world.

Jim is survived by his parents, Mao Xiong Ly of San Jacinto and Sai Ying Ly of Long Beach, daughter; Sarah of San Jacinto, sister; Soua Vang and brother-in-law Christopher Dick of Irvine, Xong Ly, Jason Ly, Bee Ly and sister-in-law Bao Xiong Ly of San Jacinto, nephews; Prince Vang and Jason Jr., nieces; Angelina Ly, Aalyssa Ly, Kaylene Vang, Kylie Ly and Kalylah Ly, half-siblings; Pa, Poua, Thomas, Chang, Tbay, Terry and Rocky.

He enjoyed playing computer games, watching Final Fantasy, listening to Hmong radio and music, and programming computers. His family remembers him as a kind-hearted and funny son, brother, father and uncle who loved them immensely.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 17through Monday, March 19. All are welcome to attend and send our beloved brother off. He will forever be missed.

Jim, your wings were ready but, our hearts were not. Please don't worry, we will continue to love and look out for your one and only daughter, Sarah. We love you very much. Mus zoo mog.
