John Justus Karl Schaper Der Alderwereldt Van Sint John passed away at the age of 69 on February 24, 2026. John was born on April 11, 1956, in Jakarta, Indonesia, to Rudolph Reinauth and Emma Louisa. He was the youngest of eleven children: Sonja, Ronald, Amy, Winnie, Renee, Reinauth, David, Constance, Martin, Robert, and John. John worked for many years as a forklift mechanic, a trade that reflected his hands-on skills and practical nature. He dedicated himself to his work until his health began to decline. Outside of work, John enjoyed life in his own unique way. His favorite hobby was shopping for gadgets and electronics, and he loved watching tv shows and YouTube videos, especially Korean dramas and soap operas. He lived life on the less serious side, often sharing his sharp wit and unmistakable dark humor. John was known for being stubborn and a bit out there, but those who knew him understood that his humor and strong personality were simply part of what made him memorable and deeply himself. John will be remembered for his care free individuality, his resilience, and the laughter he brought that was sometimes unexpected, often irreverent, but always authentically John. He leaves behind his siblings Reinauth, Constance, and Robert, along with nephews and nieces and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
