Passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Loma Linda University Hospital in Murrieta after a courageous battle with Melanoma Cancer. He was born on August 25, 1954 in Chicago Illinois to the late John and Margaret Yelaska.
He worked for a manufacturer of bar codes as a Senior Sales Manager in Chicago, Illinois and came out to Temecula with his wife to continue his employment in California. John was a loving and devoted husband of 38 years. His daughter Allison was his shining star and he adored his granddaughter, Summer Alicia; he found her to be the sunshine of his life. John was a casual man; he loved wearing his Hawaiian shirts and enjoyed the beauty of the Temecula Valley.
John is survived by his wife, Alice; his children, David Yelaska of Chicago, Illinois and daughter, Allison (Omar) Sanchez of Montgomery, Illinois; his brother, David (Sharon) Yelaska of Illinois and his grand-daughter Summer Alicia Sanchez; his two nieces, Michelle and Maci.
