Jose "Joe" Martinez, Age 82. Joe passed away peacefully in his home in Hemet after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's surrounded by his family on August 31, 2011 in Hemet, CA. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friends to many, he was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Predicanda and Alfredo Martinez. Joe was married to the late Mary Rose for over 53 years. He is survived by his three daughters, Michelle Martinez, Denise Gustafson, and Genevieve Diaz, one son, Alfredo Martinez, and sisters, Virginia Esponisa and Dolores Ferruccio of Arizona. A family graveside service will be held on Friday, September 16th at Riverside National Cemetery to honor his years in the Navy.
