Juan Luis Abreo, of Temecula, Ca. passed on June 27, 2019 at Jacobs Medical Center at U.C. San Diego Health, from complications associated with recent kidney and liver transplants. He was 72 years old.
He was born on December 14, 1946 in El Paso, Texas and is survived by his daughters and their families: Bill and Michelle Norris, grandson, Billy Norris, granddaughter, Dawnielle Carr, Grandson-in-law, Jacob Carr and great-grandson, Rémi Carr; Dave and Violet Frear and grandson, David Frear III. Juan Abreo is also survived by his mother, Catalina Abreo, and his siblings, Chris Abreo, Lupe Somers, Francis Silva, Danny Abreo and Sally Carrillo, along with their families.
Juan graduated from Bel Air High School in 1965 and followed in his father’s footsteps working as a General Contractor painting for most of his life. He moved to Old Town Temecula, Ca. in 1984, a town he fell in love with immediately with its “Wild West” feel as he grew up watching Westerns, his favorite film and t.v. genre. He briefly moved to Hawaii in the late 80’s but returned to Temecula by the early 90’s where he remained in the oldest house in Temecula with his wife, Evelyn Otto Zinn, who preceded him in death. Juan had a heart for those in need and spent the rest of his days in Temecula helping and taking into his home those who otherwise would be homeless. He was very close to his daughters and their families and his very large family in El Paso, Texas, especially his 99 year old mother, Catalina Abreo who was his best friend. A memorial service will be held at Miller-Jones Mortuary on Saturday, August 10th at 2:00 pm located at 26855 Jefferson Ave Suite #A Murrieta, Ca. 92562.
