Juan entered into life on Sunday, June 24, 1956, as the eldest son of the late Jose Merced Vargas and Maria Guadalupe Osorio. He is survived by his children Jeramy, Bonnie, and Angelina, his grandchildren Slade, Tyler, Douglas, Samantha, and Logan, as well as his seven surviving siblings.
Juan grew up in Atoyac and Ensenada, Mexico, before immigrating to the United States when he was 12 years old. Juan graduated from Arroyo High School in 1974 and married Candy Morris on July 2, 1979, gaining a son and later having two daughters. He would go on to earn his Associate’s degree in Accounting from Citrus College.
Throughout his life, Juan worked hard to provide for his family selling newspapers as a child, cooking at and managing restaurants as a teenager and young adult, delivering bread for Weber’s for over 15 years, and finally working in accounts payable for BSH Home Appliances for nearly 20 years before retiring in 2017.
Juan loved his family with everything he had and enjoyed sharing his passions of playing cards and watching sports, Star Trek, Star Wars, or anything that would make him laugh. He loved life and although his ended too soon, he was able to enjoy his final years surrounded by his family and full of happiness.
A viewing for Juan will be held at Miller-Jones Mortuary in Perris on February 17 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm. A service will be held on February 18 at 12:30pm at St. James the Less on 3rd street in Perris, CA, followed by internment at Perris Valley Cemetery.
