A native of Worthington, Ohio, Judy attended Ohio State University, and graduated with a degree in Education.
Judy was a life-long educator, teaching students with disabilities in Long Beach, California, then relocating to Media, Pennsylvania and retiring in Wildomar, California. She was an award-winning gardener who took great pride in her horticultural creations. Judy loved spending time with friends and had an infectious joy for life. With perpetual strength and determination, she always fought for what she believed. An eternal optimist, Judy treated everyone she met with respect and grace.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim Lockyer, her son, Jason Lockyer, and her nieces, Stacie Albertson Oliver and Kelsey Beard. Judy was predeceased by her father, Bill Albertson, her mother, Helen Albertson, and brother, Bob Albertson.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at the family home in the garden she loved.
