June Hamilton

June Hamilton, 90 of Whittier, California passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016, surrounded at home by family. She was born on Thursday, October 15, 1925 to Walter and Anna Hassinger in Los Angeles, CA. She was married to the late Don Hamilton for 49 years until he passed away in 1993. As a stay at home mom, June was very involved in her kids activities. From manning the Little League snack shack to sewing costumes for school, even a prom dress or two, she was always busy with something. She was a founding member of th La Serna High Booster Club in Whittier. She and Don were always the parents of choice when chaperones were needed. Summer's and Easter breaks, she could be found with her kids at the beach. Baird /Hamilton family adventures were the best. She loved to travel, whether she was camping, cruising, or just getting in the car for a drive. She always looked forward to her week in Big Bear each summer with family also. Her favorite food was Mexican food and when no one was looking "just a little salt". Her family describes her as loving, supportive, selfless, and sacrificing. Her work ethic was unmatched, working full time in the Cardiology office until she was 84 years old. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her and loved her.

Surviving are sons, Greg Hamilton and Jeff Hamilton, daughter, Donna Brahm and her husband Stephen, 5 grand children; 3 great grand children, many nieces and nephews, and cousin Trish Hamon, her husband Jerry and their daughter Kara.
