Lawrence John Fischer

He was born Monday, December 7, 1942 in Oakland, California , he was the son of the late Hugo Fischer and the late Emma Weaver Fischer. He was the husband of Norma Fischer.

He served as a Cpl in the Marine Corps from 1962 until 1965. He was a Veteran of Vietnam. John worked at Kayner-Alcoa for more than 20 years. He enjoyed camping and visiting our national Parks. He was also a big Dodger fan. John was a talented woodworker, he made many types of furniture for his wife, children and grandchildren. His family remembers him as a patient, honest gentle man, always willing to help someone who needed it. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Surviving are daughters, Shannon Fischer and Erin Rossi, brothers, Leonard Fischer, Robert Fischer, David Fischer, Stephen Fischer and Roger Fischer, sister, Ellen Fischer.

He was predeceased by brother, Paul Fischer.

A Funeral service will be at 9:45 AM on Tuesday April 15, 2014at Riverside National Cemetery located at 22495 Van Buren Boulevard Riverside, California 92518.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Miller-Jones Moreno Valley, 23618 Sunnymead Bl., Moreno Valley, California .
